we-DELIVER is a project aimed at delivering better services to older people (>60 years) in rural communities in South Africa through the use of information and communication technologies (ICT).
The project is funded through Tirelo Bosha - a public service improvement programme and partnership between the Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA) and the Belgian Development Agency.
The project is lead by Prof Vera Roos from the North-West University. The research and implementation team will include researchers and staff from the North-West University, SALGA, and a number of other organisations. we-DELIVER forms part of the Age-friendly cities/Communities project in the Aging and Generational Dynamics (AGenDA) sub-programme in the Optentia Research Focus Area situated at the Vaal Triangle campus of the North-West University.
